Moon Child

by J Porter Marckstein
Moon Child is our Babe Fables logo created by an incredible San Antonio artist and good friend.

Thank You!

Sources of inspiration can be as tiny as a raindrop, as fleeting as a shadow or as powerful as a thunderbolt.  Inspiration is possibly the sum total of every moment, every word and every thought.  So, right here, right now, I officially want to thank the entire Universe.  You know who you are.  You have tolerated my laziness, put up with my craziness and loved me unconditionally.  There are no copyrights on expressions of the soul - no one can call "dibbs" on original thought - We are all connected, and for this, I am thankful!

Missing Mom

It has only been a few months since I lost my mother,Vonnie.  Only now am I able to put thoughts into words.  Mom was a force to be reckoned with...a strong professional woman who worked at the Texas State Capitol for many years.  To many Senators and House members, Vonnie was friend, assistant, cheerleader and many times, told them how the cow ate the cabbage.  One "wet behind the ears" new  House member was joking around in the Capitol rotunda.  When he got on the elevator, Mom was waiting.  She did not mince words explaining to him how his conduct reflected on his district and that he needed to show the highest respect for the position to which he had been elected.  Go Mom!  I miss her so much.  Her strength will always inspire me as I carry her in my heart.
